Update from Mr Brack

Dear Parents/Carers.

We hope you and your children are all bearing up on what has been a very strange day of adjustment for us all.

Thanks for your cooperation which has seen a very high level of engagement with our digital learning today. (please also remember that there is a wealth of work available offline in the paper folders provided by our teaching staff on Friday)

We have posted detailed guidance from Edinburgh City Council about digital learning this afternoon, Section 3 covers how to log-in to Microsoft 365 and we would advise you to read this carefully. Please remember as posted earlier today that the procedure for logging in, is slightly different if you are using an Android device. See below:

  • For those families using Android devices you may have to download the ‘Teams’ app which is free and you need to log in with your child’s email address which is the nine digit number we have given you followed by @ea.edin.sch.uk and then the password we have given you.

Please also note that password formats are as follows

  • 8 characters in total
  • Characters 1-6 are letters, with a mix of lower and upper case.
  • Characters 7-8 are numeric.

Finally, if you or your children have any questions about learning, please continue to use the messaging facility within Microsoft Teams as so many pupils and parents have done already today. If you have any more general queries or questions please contact our admin mailbox: admin@st-cuthberts.edin.sch.uk .

We will post further updates tomorrow, until then thanks once again for your support

Kind Regards

Pat Brack, Acting Head Teacher and all at St Cuthberts.
