We hope you and your families had a restful weekend. Please see update for Tuesday 5th May below.
Message from Fiona Damen of Active Schools
Just a heads up to the schools pupils, staff and parents that I am starring in Active schools star jumps tweet this Thursday 😊 Be great to get as many likes and shout outs from our cluster active schools as possible ! At the end I will ask the families and staff to video themselves trying it at home and share with us using #ActiveVideos and tag @ActiveSchoolsED . Be fun to see if we can get as many as possible.
Thanks
Fiona
New Resources Available on our Website, App and Learning Journals
We have uploaded documents from the Council’s English as an Additional Language (EAL) Team. These provide guidance and resources for families of bi-lingual learners.
For anyone still requiring support or reminders about how to logon to Microsoft 365, we now have a colour version of this guidance which we have also uploaded to the website, app and Learning Journals.

Uniform Day – Friday 15th May 2020
To help everyone feel connected we are having a ‘Uniform Day’ on Friday 15th May, during which we are encouraging everyone to wear their school uniform and share a photo of it on Twitter @StcuthbertsRCP or on your class Team. Hopefully this bit of fun will help the children still feel part of Team St Cuthberts!
May Holidays ( 8th and 18th May)
A reminder that Friday 8th May is a bank holiday. Monday 18th May is also a bank holiday. There will be no online learning or daily update on these days.
Annual Reports and Termly Observations via Learning Journals
We will publish our annual reports via Learning Journals on 22nd June. These reports will cover: Literacy, Numeracy/Maths, Health and Wellbeing as well as Religious Education. They will communicate pupil strengths in and next steps for each of these curricular areas.
We will also publish our next round of termly observations of learning for this term on 22nd May, again via Learning Journals. These will focus on Digital Learning.
If you still need to register for Learning Journals or have any other questions about the above information, please do not hesitate to contact me via the admin mailbox (admin@st-cuthberts.edin.sch.uk).
