Parent and Carer Update: 15th June

Dear Parents/Carers,

Please see update for Monday 15th June below.

Collection of P7 Transition Booklets for Use 16th -19th  June

City of Edinburgh Council have developed a transition resource for pupils in P7 who are going into S1 next year. Mr Vilanova and Miss Munro will be sharing transition learning activities digitally with our pupils for use on the above days (which would ordinarily have been our transition days) via the P7 Class Team. If you would like a paper copy of these resources however, they can be collected from a trolley, just inside the school gates tomorrow between 9.30-12.30pm.

Annual Progress Reports

These will be published via Learning Journals on Monday 22nd June. Please contact our admin mailbox (  if you still need to register for Learning Journals or have any difficulties logging in.

Letter to Parents from City of Edinburgh Council re Plans for Schools Re-opening in August 2020 and School Response

A link to this letter should now have been received by all parents and carers via text from City of Edinburgh Council. I also thought it would be worthwhile sharing re our own school digital platforms.

The school will communicate further details of these plans by Wednesday 24th June.

Stationery Pick-Up Today

Thanks to the parents/carers who took advantage of this offer today. I hope the resources will be useful

Nursery-P1 Important Transition Information

As previously referred to, in the absence of the opportunity to organise Transition Visits to Primary Schools, the City of Edinburgh Council have produced their own transition materials based on the book ‘Going on a Bear Hunt’. These materials can be found at:

Translated versions of the materials can be found here:

Kind regards

Pat Brack, HT and all at St Cuthbert’s Primary.
