P3 working hard πŸ’ͺ🏽

This week P3 have worked super hard on their multiplication and division. They have challenged themselves and consolidated their learning in a variety of ways! #Article28 – The right to Education.

P3 have also been working on their digital skills this week. They created digital informative posters using the IPads. They started by using the safari app to screenshot a photo of a shark, followed by using the photos app to crop and edit using the mark up tool. Pupils used their knowledge from writing shark fact files earlier in the week to add different facts to their posters. #Article17 – The right to access information.

P3 update!

Primary 3 have enjoyed learning about Scotland in the run up to Burns night this week. #Article14

They have been practising ceilidh dances in PE, learning about Robert Burns and all things Scotland including drawing their own highland coo’s.

They finished the week by performing β€œThe Welly boot song” at the Scottish performance! #Article13

P3 – What a busy week!

P3 have had a productive and busy week! 🐝
They started their multiplication and division topic and have been identifying, making and adding equal groups whilst using the multiplication symbol.

They also created their first fact file linking with our class topic Habitats and celebrated winning the Healthy Snack competition with some delicious fresh fruit! #Article24 – The right to health.

P3 and everything Christmas!

P3 had a busy last week of term, they created advent wreaths and Christmas window art crafts using layered paper techniques. #Article28 – The right to education.

They also had loads of fun at their Christmas party, played games and showed off their dance moves. πŸ’ƒπŸ½πŸŽ„

We also finished our habitat masterpieces! These pieces show the 4 habitats we have looked at in detail during our topic, Grasslands, deserts, oceans and forests. These required pupils to use a variety of different techniques and materials such as watercolour, layered paper, salt painting, and coloured pencils – and they look fabulous !!! πŸ¬πŸ³πŸ¦’πŸ«

P3 Scottish ballet πŸ’ƒπŸ½

P3 were very fortunate to have a taster session with the Scottish Ballet school this week. They learnt about their show β€œThe snow Queen” and learnt different moves they perform in the show #Article15 – The right to join and set up groups.

They also designed monsters and named them using an alliteration to enter into the β€œYoung writers Monster Mayhem drawing competition” Wish us luck πŸ€žπŸΌπŸ€ #Article28 – The right to education.

P3 learning this week!

P3 started the week by enjoying some time with their P7 buddies working on their digital skills.

They also finished their length and height numeracy topic and consolidated their learning by measuring different classroom objects in cm and ordering them.

In literacy, P3 used thesauruses to discover synonyms for every day words to transform them into ✨wow✨words. This developed their digital skills and their vocabulary! #Article28 – The right to education.

Finally, in art, they started their third habitat for our topic masterpieces! Learners used oil pastels to create a realistic ocean background. #Article24

P3 Book week ScotlandπŸ“šπŸ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ

P3 have had a busy book week!

They loved teacher swap on Monday where they listened to β€œZog” and used their imagination to draw what they could hear. #Article29

They also got to hear the story of Voytek the Polish bear, read to them in both Polish and English! #Article2

We also wrote about our favourite book characters and favourite books using adjectives and connectives in Literacy.

P3 learning this week πŸŽπŸ“

P3 worked super hard this week in their numeracy, learning to add numbers to the nearest 10, adding 10 to any number and adding to a 10 using number bond knowledge. #Article28 – The right to Education

They also learnt about a new habitat this week – forests. They learnt the different layers of a forest and what the characteristics of each layer are. #Article24 – The right to Health, food, water and the environment.

Their hard work, positive attitudes and focus this week resulted in them being awarded class of the week!! P3 super stars ⭐️🌟✨

First week of November in P3

P3 have had a great week! They finished their desert habitats by watercolouring the sand and describing desert characterises in their jotters.

They also learnt about firework and bonfire safety and created beautiful firework paintings. #Article28 – The right to play and rest.

Finally, they learnt Spanish numbers up to 10 and created posters to show their learning and understanding. #Article28 – The right to Education.
