A busy week in P2!

Our first week back after the Easter holiday was a very busy one!

We consolidated our data analysis knowledge by creating our own graphs using tally marks, we began our new topic of the human body and we did a fun narrative writing lesson using story cubes and finger puppets.

A busy week in P2

This week we learned “the flying Scotsman” ceilidh dance. We had so much fun working with our partners and dancing with our teachers!

We worked really hard during our VCOP lesson, together we were able to find VCOP in our poem. This will help us in our writing next week.

Primary 1 and 2 have received an outdoor learning mood kitchen. Take a look at us playing with it.

Primary 2’s First Week in 2026!

What an exciting start to the term we have had!

We began learning about our new topic “Toys of the Past”. Take a look at us comparing toys that we play with now to toys from the past.

In PE we’ve been learning teamwork skills through dancing. We worked in pairs to create a dance sequence, we had lots of fun!

In literacy we began to learn what VCOP stands for (Vocabulary, connectives, openers and punctuation) we can now recognise VCOP in our sentences!

A very festive week in P2

What a week it’s been in P2!

On Monday we celebrated the festive season with our Christmas party and watching the pantomime.

During the week we created some lovely Christmas cards and decorations for our friends and family, have a look at our amazing creations.

On Wednesday we used our own instructions to create some Christmas treats.

In RE we learned all about the nativity story, look at us sequencing the events of the story in order.
