P3 have been looking at shape and symmetry this week and enjoyed making natural symmetrical pictures with The Green Team. #Article24

They also looked at the artist Kandinsky and created their own compositions using 2D shape, line and contrasting colours. #Article31

P4 Maths Week Scotland

The theme this year was ‘Wild Maths’ and we took this opportunity to get outdoors! 🌳 🍃

First, we were learning how to measure in cm/mm. We did a scavenger hunt in the playground, looking for items of specific sizes and lengths. We were also developing our digital skills by documenting our findings using the iPad to create a photo log. 📸 📏

We were also lucky enough to have Margon from the Green Team visit us! She brought a whole host of natural goodies that we had to organise from largest to smallest, count using tally marks and sort into different categories.

What a fun week of Wild Maths!

P6 Learning week 6⭐️

This week P6 have had an excellent week of learning. We have focussed on the plot of narrative writing, powers of 10 and we have started our new spelling words.

During the “Our Prehistoric World” topic we learnt about Early Humans in the Stone Age. We created our own cave paintings, our own Stone Age tools and we sorted Stone Age objects and animals into categories. We compared life back then to now and realised how much the world has changed. Great learning P6, keep it up!👏

Primary 4 – Floorbook

Primary 4 Update

Primary 4 have had a really positive week! ✨ We have been learning how to write engaging story starters and practising partitioning numbers up to 1000. Alongside this, we’ve been setting weekly goals and reflecting on our learning in our class floorbook.

Setting weekly goals helps us stay focused and gives us something to aim towards each week. Everyone has worked really hard, and we are so proud of the effort and enthusiasm shown.

Well done, P4! 👏
