P6 iPad learning

P6 have been enjoying their first full week with their iPads. This new resource has opened up so many new ways to enhance our learning. We used our iPads to create a keynote PowerPoint about the ups and downs of life for our “Be Resilient” topic in Health and Wellbeing. We will have lots more engaging lessons to come using the iPads! Keep up the good work P6!⭐️

An fun week in P2

This week in P2 we have been learning how to read weigh scales, measure capacity and measure height. Take a look at us measuring the weight and height of things all around our classroom.

Today we celebrated St Andrews Day by wearing tartan and creating pictures of the saltire and thistle. Take a look at some of our creations!

Continuing on with our instructional writing topic, this week we had to write instructions about how to build snowmen, we practiced this in our play before writing in our jotters.

P3 learning this week!

P3 started the week by enjoying some time with their P7 buddies working on their digital skills.

They also finished their length and height numeracy topic and consolidated their learning by measuring different classroom objects in cm and ordering them.

In literacy, P3 used thesauruses to discover synonyms for every day words to transform them into ✨wow✨words. This developed their digital skills and their vocabulary! #Article28 – The right to education.

Finally, in art, they started their third habitat for our topic masterpieces! Learners used oil pastels to create a realistic ocean background. #Article24

St Andrew’s Day – Tasting!

Primary 4 have enjoyed celebrating St Andrew’s Day (a little early!). Beth led our session and shared lots of interesting information about St Andrew and Scotland, including why the Scottish flag is a saltire.

We were also lucky enough to taste some local Scottish produce. A very special thank you to Beth and her mum, Clare, for providing the delicious treats! I think the cheddar cheese and shortbread were the class favourites.

Well done, P4!
