P4 – Forces, Electricity and Waves

Primary 4 have begun their new topic, Forces, Electricity and Waves.

We started by creating a KWL chart (What we already know, what we want to learn, and what we have learned) to gather pupil voice and identify what we are interested in exploring.

We then carried out an experiment investigating forces, focusing on pushes and pulls. We tested cars, balls, and boxes on a smooth ramp to observe how different variables affected how fast and how far the objects travelled.

It has been a great start, and we can’t wait to explore this topic further!

P6 first week back

Well done to P6 for an amazing first week back after the holidays. We have started recount texts in writing and it was so great to hear all about what you got up to in the holidays. Multiplication and division in numeracy, and we continued work on our Europe topic. We also had a great lesson looking at stop motion and we had the opportunity to create stop motion videos in groups that will be shared to the rest of the class next week.

Well done P6- keep up the good work⭐️

Primary 2’s First Week in 2026!

What an exciting start to the term we have had!

We began learning about our new topic “Toys of the Past”. Take a look at us comparing toys that we play with now to toys from the past.

In PE we’ve been learning teamwork skills through dancing. We worked in pairs to create a dance sequence, we had lots of fun!

In literacy we began to learn what VCOP stands for (Vocabulary, connectives, openers and punctuation) we can now recognise VCOP in our sentences!

P6 Xmas fun 🎅🏼

This week P6 took part in lots of fun festivities. We designed sustainable schools on Minecraft to go along with the Global Goals Advent Calendar. Took part in a Christmas version of Dragons Den where each group had to invent the next big Christmas toy. To top off the week we had our Christmas party on Thursday, the outfits were all amazing!

Well done P6 hope you all have an amazing Christmas and a happy New Year! See you in 2026🤩

P3 and everything Christmas!

P3 had a busy last week of term, they created advent wreaths and Christmas window art crafts using layered paper techniques. #Article28 – The right to education.

They also had loads of fun at their Christmas party, played games and showed off their dance moves. 💃🏽🎄

We also finished our habitat masterpieces! These pieces show the 4 habitats we have looked at in detail during our topic, Grasslands, deserts, oceans and forests. These required pupils to use a variety of different techniques and materials such as watercolour, layered paper, salt painting, and coloured pencils – and they look fabulous !!! 🐬🐳🦒🐫

From P3 and Miss Tulloch we hope everyone has a lovely Christmas and a happy new year!
